OLA Electric, owned by Bhavish Aggarwal, claims that since getting the CCPA show cause notice, 99% of customer concerns have been handled.

Ola Electric, a maker of two-wheelers, has said that it has resolved 99.1% of the 10,644 complaints that the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) brought to its attention. Following a recent notification from the CCPA accusing the corporation of deceptive advertising, unfair trade practices, and possible infringement of consumer rights, this update was released.

According to Ola Electric, 99.1% of concerns are resolved.

The notification was sent on October 7 and the corporation has 15 days to address the accusations. Ola Electric reaffirmed its dedication to customer satisfaction in a regulatory filing dated October 21 by stating that it has given the CCPA the information and explanations that were required.

“We wish to emphasise that out of 10,644 complaints that we received from the CCPA, 99.1 per cent of the complaints were resolved to the complete satisfaction of the customer as per Ola Electric’s robust redressal mechanism,” the business stated in a PTI report.

Furthermore, according to a News18 article, 1,899 complaints focused on Ola’s electric scooter deliveries that were delayed, while 3,364 complaints were connected to poor service and maintenance difficulties. Unmet service obligations were the subject of 1,459 additional complaints, which added to the general annoyance of consumers. Claims of deceptive advertising that exaggerated the scooters’ capabilities, features, and accessibility were among the other complaints.

Ola also allegedly teamed up with consulting company EY to boost its after-sales operations, with an emphasis on improving customer assistance and expediting spare parts management.

Bhavish Aggarwal vs. Kunal Kamra

Ola Electric’s path hasn’t been without its challenges, though, particularly for its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, who recently got into a heated argument with comedian Kunal Kamra on X.

Kamra’s criticism of Ola Electric’s S1 series scooters in a Sunday afternoon tweet swiftly turned into a heated argument with the Ola Electric CEO. It all started when Kamra raised concerns about subpar care by posting a photo of many Ola scooters collecting dust at a shop. But when Aggarwal retorted, accusing Kamra of publishing a “paid tweet” and making personal jabs at the comedian’s profession, the situation worsened.
